Motivation
The lack of developed ecosystem safeguards have created a leakage of weekly app allocations to inactive and stale projects. This proposal brings the opportunity to support remaining active projects by removing apps that fail to provide value to the ecosystem.
Detailed Specification
Carbonlarity
Overview: Carbonlarity sold plugs for electricity consumption measurements. They went silent without any reward payments, social media activity and user support.

Overview: Wanchain is a cross-chain bridge that is still active and provides services. They are not active in the VBD ecosystem, no historic x2earn rewards, no communication with the community. Wanchain continuously ignores any public and private concerns/questions regarding their VBD participation.

Overview: Vyvo has been on the VBD since round 2. They’ve struggled to maintain regular reward distribution and have been criticized about the lack of communication with the broader community of VBD. Recently, they completely stopped reward payments and announced restructuration without mentioning any plans regarding VBD.

Overview: BigBottle is a simpe x2earn app rewarding users for receipts with bottles in them. Joined in round 44. Saw 1 update after community pressure in May 2026. Since, the app went silent again with no user support. User feedback and low user numbers indicate the app is not working properly, with sub 80 active weekly users in the past 10 rounds.

Overview: JustTote rewards users for grocery receipts. While the app is fully functional, it has not seen a single update for a year. JusTote is failing to provide user support and does not respond to farming reports.

PowerUp!
Re-endorsed project with no activity. Owner of the project has not made any public announcements about updates and plans with Power Up! Last activity from the owner regarding his app was in December 2025. Last X post on 1st of December.
Septet
Overview: Septet consists of 7 apps owned by a connected group of people with shared exit wallets. One of the apps, Ecobin, has been blacklisted recently for inactivity. A detailed description of their performance has been documented in an audit. Since, their performance has not improved, despite the fact they were aware about the community concerns.
Reason for blacklist: no user support, no updates, poor public activity, low user rewards/high manual withdrawals.

Risk Analysis
Risk: Reduction in VBD projects
Mitigation: Removing low effort/inactive projects improves user experience and consolidates remaining resources to active projects.
Risk: Removal is subjective
Mitigation: VBD has not caught up with the development to address inactive projects. The only available tool to address community concerns is a proposal targeting individual apps. While this approach is not recommended for a decentralized environment, it allows to immediately address inefficient use of VBD funds.

Conclusion
Blacklisting these 12 inactive and underperforming projects is a necessary step to protect the ecosystem and ensure allocations go to projects actively building. While a governance-led cleanup is a temporary solution until automated safeguards are implemented, it immediately addresses the leakage of weekly allocations. By removing these stale participants, the community cleans up the user experience and maximizes funding for the remaining active projects.
