This proposal outlines a community-driven initiative to showcase Web3 Points (B3TR) as a social implementation model at Blockchain EXPO Japan 2025, co-sponsored by DAO partners and expanded nationwide through DAO Experience Events.
Blockchain EXPO Japan (Autumn 2025)
Introduction (Message to VeFam)
Hello VeFam,
This proposal outlines a community-driven initiative to demonstrate the real-world implementation of Web3 Points (B3TR) in Japan.
The plan centers on our exhibition at Blockchain EXPO Japan 2025 (Autumn) and expands into a nationwide campaign of DAO experience events.
This is not a top-down directive but a user-led practical model emerging from Japan’s VeBetterDAO community. We believe this can become a milestone case of DAO-driven adoption, and we invite your support and feedback in making it a reality.
About NexTech Week [Autumn] 2025 (Tokyo, Oct 8–10)
Our proposal centers on an exhibition at NexTech Week Autumn 2025, one of Japan’s largest technology trade shows.
-
Annual Event: Held twice a year — Spring at Tokyo Big Sight and Autumn at Makuhari Messe.
-
Expected Visitors: Over 40,000 participants across all co-located expos.
-
Structure: Includes Blockchain EXPO, AI EXPO, Quantum/IoT EXPO, etc.
-
Audience: Enterprise decision makers from IT, finance, retail, manufacturing, logistics, and government sectors.
-
Reputation: Consistently attracts major sponsors and notable exhibitors, with broad coverage by Japanese tech media.
This makes NexTech Week [Autumn] the most relevant venue to present VeBetterDAO as a social implementation model, engaging both enterprises seeking Web3 solutions and the wider public interested in real-world blockchain use cases.
Background and Significance
-
In Japan, the Web2 points market dominates, with “Poi-katsu” (point-collecting activities) deeply ingrained — people often collect rewards worth less than $0.01 (¥1).
-
However, most schemes end at “earn and spend”, without deeper contribution or continuity.
-
Web3 Points (B3TR) transform this into “vote = contribution”, where users not only earn, but actively participate in app improvement, social impact, and ongoing cycles.
-
Simply visiting partner stores becomes an act of support and contribution.
-
Instead of ending with spending, points feed into new experiences, governance, and value creation.
This EXPO booth is therefore positioned as the world’s first user-driven, real-world Web3 Points model — something even telcos like docomo have yet to implement — and uniquely, one born from a DAO community initiative in Japan.
Objectives
-
Present “meaningful Web3 Points” as a credible alternative to conventional loyalty cards.
-
Expand circulation of B3TR and acquire new users through dApps such as Mugshot, GreenCart, and Cleanify.
-
Deploy the Better Green Cycle (Cleanup → Study Session → CSR-driven Purchasing) nationwide to generate measurable B3TR/VTHO transactions.
Funding Plan (Revised)
Change of Exhibition Location
At the request of the organizer, our booth was relocated. As a result, the following advantages emerged:
-
The booth now has two corners and is open on three sides, located along the main aisle, which is expected to attract more visitor traffic.
-
The only drawback is that it is no longer near the “AI Zone,” but overall exposure will actually increase.
-
The relocation allows for a reduction in staff numbers and decoration costs, leading to significant budget savings.
Common Costs (applies to all plans)
-
Electrical work: $90 (approx. ¥13,000)
-
QR code reader system fee: $380 (approx. ¥55,000)
【Full-Scale Plan】
Grant Application (from VeBetterDAO Treasury):
- Treasury Request: $13,500 (approx. ¥2.07M)
(The organizer confirmed the removal of an unused website promotion option, resulting in a ¥100,000 reduction. Since our team could not allocate sufficient resources to make effective use of this option, we accepted the adjustment. With the official invoice now issued, we have updated the JPY figure accordingly. The USD request remains unchanged.)
Decoration & Promotion (co-creation funds and sponsors):
-
Booth decoration (full plan): $4,500 (approx. ¥700,000)
-
Digital signage (5 units): $530 (approx. ¥80,000)
-
Flyers (1,500 × 2 types = 3,000 total): $480 (approx. ¥72,000)
-
Staff T-shirts (18 units): $530 (approx. ¥80,000)
Personnel Costs:
-
Event staff: 18 × $67 (approx. ¥10,000) = $12,000 (approx. ¥180,000)
-
DAO workshop Zoom staff: 3 × $33 (approx. ¥5,000) × 6 months = $600 (approx. ¥90,000)
-
Cleanup organizers: 47 prefectures × $10 (approx. ¥1,500) × 6 months = $2,820 (approx. ¥423,000)
-
Business staff: Performance-based compensation
Total: $27,000 (approx. ¥3.8M)
【Scaled-Down Plan (Alternative)】
-
Booth decoration: $3,450 (approx. ¥500,000, max ¥700,000)
-
Digital signage (3 units): $345 (approx. ¥50,000)
-
Flyers (1,500 × 1 type): $240 (approx. ¥36,000)
-
DAO workshop Zoom staff: 2 × 6 months = $420 (approx. ¥60,000)
-
Nationwide cleanup: Focused on 10–15 prefectures instead of all 47
(Key cities Tokyo, Shizuoka, Aichi, Osaka, Fukuoka with multiple events → Total 15 events, cost $930 / approx. ¥135,000)
Total: $21,000–22,000 (approx. ¥3.0–3.1M)
Item | Full-Scale Plan | Scaled-Down Plan |
---|---|---|
Booth Decoration | $4,500 (¥700k) | $3,450 (¥500k) |
Digital Signage | $530 (5 units) | $345 (3 units) |
Flyers | $480 (3,000) | $240 (1,500) |
Staff T-shirts | $530 (18 pcs) | — |
Event Staff | $12,000 (18 staff) | — |
DAO Zoom Staff | $600 (3 staff × 6 mo) | $420 (2 staff × 6 mo) |
Cleanup Organizers | $2,820 (47 pref.) | $930 (15 pref.) |
Total | $27,000 (¥3.8M) | $21–22k (¥3.0–3.1M) |
Key Points
-
Even the full-scale plan has been reduced to approx. ¥3.8M (from the initial ¥4.1M).
-
The scaled-down plan can be realized at approx. ¥3.0M.
-
Treasury request remains unchanged at $13,500 (¥2.07M).
-
With DAO funds plus sponsorship/co-creation support, the plan can be realized with only an additional ~¥1M.
This revision ensures that costs are kept lower than originally projected, while still delivering maximum impact.
Even under the scaled-down plan, the project can be implemented with certainty.
With this secured budget, we will proceed to the nationwide DAO Experience Event.
Nationwide DAO Experience Events (Revised Plan)
-
October–November 2025: Focus on business meetings at EXPO, converting appointments into deals through hands-on experiences.
-
Mid-November: Launch “47 Prefecture DAO Experience Events” for the general public, promoted directly from the EXPO booth.
-
December 2025–January 2026: Continue DAO experience events nationwide, incorporating feedback to ensure continuity.
-
February–April 2026: Establish monthly DAO Experience Days tied to Monthly Earth Day and Global Earth Day, serving as high-impact moments that combine cleanup and app experiences.
This roadmap creates a pipeline: EXPO (Oct–Nov) → National General Events (Nov) → Continuity Testing (Dec–Jan) → Scalable Monthly DAO Events (Feb–Apr).
The “B3TR Green Cycle” Model
A repeatable, scalable cycle of meaningful engagement:
-
Cleanup activity
-
Web3 study session or café/restaurant community gathering
-
Purchasing at partner stores, with CSR-aligned waste disposal handled by venues
-
Generates real consumer demand (e.g., lunchtime restaurant traffic).
-
Produces measurable B3TR/VTHO transactions tied directly to user actions.
-
Flexible variations (1–2–3, 1–2.1–3) enable adaptability across contexts.
-
With sponsors and apps, the Green Cycle can expand globally as a replicable Web3 impact model.
Co-Sponsorship with Glo (Under Discussion)
-
At present, discussions with Glo are ongoing; no formal agreement has been made.
-
Negotiations include the possibility of Glo covering fiat-heavy costs (such as venue, design, logistics).
-
The DAO would provide B3TR exclusively as locked on-chain incentives (not sold on the open market), ensuring transparency and avoiding sell pressure.
-
Milestone-based payout structures are also being discussed as one potential mechanism.
If these discussions progress positively, this co-sponsorship could help reduce DAO costs while maximizing project impact.
KPIs and DAO Returns
Update: Proposal Rebuild Based on Roberto’s Feedback
In response to Roberto’s valuable feedback, the proposal has been refined to deliver clearer DAO returns and reduce sell pressure on B3TR.
Key Improvements:
-
Monetizing Business Meetings
-
Each dApp (Mugshot, GreenCart, Cleanify) will be offered the same sponsorship opportunity and fee structure.
-
A portion of sponsorship revenue (10–20%, subject to community consensus) will be allocated directly to the DAO treasury as measurable returns.
-
The remainder will cover essential staffing costs, including Business Meeting Assistants, follow-up coordinators, and operational support.
-
To clarify, we will display the logos of all dApps available on VeBetterDAO as part of the sponsorship section, ensuring fairness.
For dApps that actively cooperate, we will also distribute flyers, showcase them on digital signage, and highlight their features.
At the same time, the main business discussions will be centered around Mugshot, Greencart, and Cleanify, since they are most ready for social implementation at this stage. However, other dApps will also be introduced to visitors who show interest, so that the initiative remains open and inclusive.
-
-
Driving B3TR & VTHO Transaction Volume
-
At events, we will host Web3 Experience Sessions (cleanup + dApp introductions) to foster real-world usage.
-
With the consent of all three apps, we will implement the “B3TR Green Cycle” package:
-
Group cleanup
-
Web3 study session or café meetup
-
Shopping via GreenCart with CSR-aligned waste disposal
-
-
This creates recurring consumer demand and generates ongoing B3TR/VTHO transactions.
-
-
Collecting Market & User Data
-
All business leads and sector interests will be documented and shared with the DAO as a collective resource.
-
Standardized questionnaires will ensure consistent and high-quality reporting.
-
-
Performance-Based Staffing
- Business Meeting Assistants will be compensated per closed deal or qualified lead, ensuring accountability and motivation.
-
Reducing Sell Pressure via Co-Sponsorship
-
Discussions with Glo Dollar are ongoing to cover fiat-heavy costs, with B3TR reserved exclusively for on-chain incentives.
-
This approach minimizes market sell pressure and aligns with Glo’s public-goods mission.
-
Ultimate Goal:
Transform the EXPO from a one-off marketing cost into a sustainable, revenue-generating, globally replicable model that consistently benefits the DAO and its community.
Conclusion & Call to Action
This proposal represents the first DAO-community-led real-world implementation of Web3 Points, showcasing how loyalty systems can evolve into governance, contribution, and impact models.
From Blockchain EXPO Japan to nationwide DAO Experience Events, this initiative will:
-
Acquire new users
-
Drive B3TR/VTHO transactions
-
Generate sponsor engagement
-
Strengthen VeBetterDAO’s role as a global pioneer
With these changes, it has become clear that the project can be safely realized within the DAO funding framework.
We respectfully ask for the cooperation, feedback, and support of the VeFam community to make this project possible.
Post-Event Commitment
After the event, I will share a detailed report covering the outcomes and lessons learned, to ensure transparency and provide insights for the community.
I also intend to make this experience a blueprint that other VeBetterDAO communities worldwide can reference when running similar expos or DAO-driven initiatives.
